What is the difference between ROV Mobile and ROV Pro?
ROV Mobile is for smartphones and ROV Pro is made primarily for DSLR's, but you can also use smartphones with ROV Pro as well. Take a look at the video below for more information:
Is ROV compatible with other Rhino Products?:
ROV is not compatible with any other Rhino products at this time
Which cameras and smartphones are able to be used on ROV?:
ROV can support any DSLR 5lbs or less. For time lapse (ROV Pro) most Sony, Nikon, Canon, and Panasonic DSLR's are supported. Most smartphones (with or without a case) fit in the phone mount.
Are the rail lengths interchangeable like other Rhino sliders?:
No. ROV comes in two fixed lengths, Everyday (17" long and 8" travel distance) and Traveler (25" long and 16" travel distance)
Is ROV weather resistant?
ROV is tolerant of light rain and mist but not designed for use in heavy rain. Do not submerge in water or any type of liquid.
How do I properly travel with ROV?
If traveling on a plane, it can be taken as carry on in the ROV Backpack. We do not recommend checking ROV as luggage unless you are placing it in a padded hard case.
How do I clean ROV?
There are felt pads on the outside of ROV's carriage which clean debris that may be collected from the inside of the rails. For the outside, a damp cloth will work fine.
How do I tighten the belt?
Belt tension can be adjusted with a 1.5mm hex wrench. The belt ends are located inside the carriage. Both ends are adjustable. The belt should be firm, with little slack.
Can ROV be used manually?
No. ROV is controlled via ROV Motion app.
Does ROV pan?
At this time, ROV does not have a panning accessory but may be something we add in the future.
