Whether you own the Rhino Rig Full Kit or the Base Kit, the Rig arrives assembled as compactly as possible. The first step of your first time setup is to unfold the shoulder rest.
Loosen the bolt connecting the shoulder rest to the base plate to pull move the shoulder rest (or buttstock if you have the Base Kit) out at a 90-degree angle (you can adjust this later as needed). If your setup includes the full shoulder rest, loosen the bolts of the shoulder rest links to unfold them, configure them in a dome shape and tighten each bolt. Place the rig on your shoulder and adjust the bolts as needed in order to get a comfortable fit.
Next, loosen the bolts on each Rig arm and fold them out. Configure the arms for your shooting style, then tighten the bolts.
The 15mm carbon rails under the base plate can be adjusted to fit a variety of accessories.
To mount a camera to the base plate, push out the captive plug in and, depending on your camera, insert the 1/4-20" or 3/8" screw, then put the plug back. Place the camera on the base plate and tighten the screw. Use the included lever to tighten the screw securely to your camera.
You are now ready to use your Rig! You'll find accessory studs on the shoulder rest and a cheese plate on the cage that let you mount accessories to your Rig.
